Learn a basic sixteen-beat "hand jive" pattern to accompany "Halloween Hand Jive."
Pat twice. Clap twice.
Slice twice with one hand over the other hand. Slice twice with the other hand on the top.
Tap one fist on top of the other fist twice. Tap the other fist on top twice.
Throw thumb over right shoulder twice. Throw thumb over left shoulder twice.

Echo-sing each phrase of the melody. Strive for accurate intervals, especially on the words two grim ghosts and jack o'lantern.
Divide the group into Part I and Part II for brief echo sections.
Sing the song together with Part I, Part II, and hand jive.
Create a new hand jive. Divide into several groups to create a 16 beat hand-jive, using body percussion. Encourage groups to practice slowly, then increase the tempo. When, finished, invite volunteers to perform for each other. If time, incorporate each new hand jive into the song. Repeat the song as many times as needed.
