What does each animal say in the song? Your voice can explore high sounds and low sounds, depending on the animal! Let's practice each sound together six times. (Notice there is a rest after each phrase.)

Sing the song together, moving and singing with animal sounds.
Let's add instruments to each animals's sound to make a Barnyard Band! Divide into the four animal groups. (Encourage instruments to play the rhythm of the animals' sound from the song. However, after some instrument exploration, new rhythms may be composed by creative individuals!)
Bunny: play the drums to create a hopping sound.
Lion: play the guiro (or rub "bumpy" rhythm sticks together) to create a growling sound.
Monkey: play the triangle to create a chattering sound.
Turkey: play the tambourines to create a gobbling sound.
Have fun singing the song together with puppets, animal sounds, movements and instruments.
